Cancer/Oncology
The Franciscan Cancer Center offers complete in- and outpatient oncology care, including chemotherapy and radiation therapy, using the latest in equipment and medicine. Our bone marrow transplant program is affiliated with the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle. We also stress cancer prevention, and regularly hold public educational forums and screenings.
The Franciscan Cancer Center, with services at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood and St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way, utilizes highly capable and caring staff and leading-edge treatments. Therapies range from bone marrow/stem cell transplantation and inpatient (currently hospitalized) and outpatient (nonhospitalized) care, including non-invasive gamma knife surgery, to complementary therapies and hospice.
